WIFI

(WAP): Key to Connectivity
A wireless access point (WAP), or simply access point (AP), is a device that allows WiFi devices to connect to a wired network. The AP typically connects to a router via a wired connection but can also be built into the router itself.
AP vs. Hotspot: Key Differences
An AP is different from a hotspot. While an access point provides WiFi access to a wired network, a hotspot refers to the physical location where WiFi access is available to connect to a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network).
